For whom and when

As a manager, how do you have a proper discussion about the performance and behavior of your employee?

If your employee has a good idea of what is expected of them in their role and what work behavior they must demonstrate, they have tools to do their work well AND continue to improve themselves.

To gain insight into individual ability, it is good to allow your employee to systematically assess their own ability. Your opinion as a manager is also important. The differences and agreements between both of your perspectives offer valuable reference points for discussions on the deployment and development of the relevant competencies for your employee's role.

Working method

The Reflector Appraisal compares your employee's own opinion of themselves with that of their manager on the basis of a questionnaire.

The questionnaire examines the competencies which are relevant to a person's role, and zooms in on the work behavior your employee has actually demonstrated, based on definitive examples.

You can quickly get to work independently with Reflector Appraisal. The Reflector Appraisal questionnaire is user-friendly and accessible online. Your employee and their manager receive the appraisal questionnaire prior to the appraisal or performance review. They can complete these at a time and location of their choice.

An accessible report is generated with which your employee can design their own personal development plan.

Results and reporting

The report consists of a general and detailed results summary:

  • The general summary shows the employee's scores per competency on the basis of a five-point scale, compared to the manager's scores.
  • The detailed summary contains the scores for each behavior example for the relevant competency.


The report also provides input for the design of a personal development plan.

Support and certification

You can quickly get to work independently with Reflector Appraisal. PiCompany supports you setting up the user-friendly Self Service Portal (SSP). With this portal, you can manage questionnaires for participants 24/7. Participants can fill in the tests and questionnaires online, anytime and wherever they want. Certification training
Certification is required for the interpretation and feedback of the Reflector Appraisal results. PiCompany provides this certification training. Certification authorizes you to interpret the test results and to discuss the report with the participant. This way, you can then manage the test entirely in your own system.
